I had learnt about cells in primary school and Diffusion+Osmosis in previous terms so was quite surprises we were doing this again. Basically, we learnt the parts and differences between the plant and animal cells. I was rather disappointed as I could not see my cheek cells very clearly under the microscope, either because I did not scrape enough or it was covered by fingerprints. We also learnt that cells of similar structures are organised into tissues, which make up an organ, which are organised into systems, which help an organism survive. We were told about the proper use of microscopes, which, frankly, nobody cared about. For diffusion and osmosis, we had to be able to define these two terms AND distinguish between these two in terms of molecules and the partially permeable membrane. I found out that osmosis occurs in living things too.
